In the municipality of San Juan, esteemed businessman Sam Ramos Córdova brought to life his visionary business concept, founding GMT LLC. This marked the inception of a Puerto Rican company specializing in the development and distribution of frozen and refrigerated foods across Puerto Rico.
Over the years, GMT's dedication and success propelled its evolution. In a significant expansion, the company diversified its offerings by venturing into the distribution of dry products, incorporating items like Malt or Meal cereals into its repertoire. This strategic move broadened GMT's product range and market reach.
In 2006, our first refrigerated facility was inaugurated.
In 2016, our ice cream division was created: GMT Ice Cream Division. One of the most solid distributions of ice cream.
In 2022, our second refrigerated warehouse was inaugurated. This warehouse boasts 70,000 square feet of space and possesses a cutting-edge technological design that includes insulated metal panels, ultra-high efficiency refrigeration system and a glycol warming system.
